Watering & Grounds Calendar

A big thank you to both Cindy “spot” Schimepfenig and Gretchen Gordon for doing so much of the work to get new grass established in the ring. Now it’s time for others to lend a hand by turning on, then off the sprinklers for 60-90 minutes of watering as needed.

Please consider signing up for one or two spots a month to help us keep the ring happy and growing.

CATS can run sprinklers:

  • 5-9 AM
  • 5-9 PM
  • anytime up to 9:00am
  • anytime after 5:00pm

Water for one hour minimum, 90 minutes ideally. You do NOT need to stay while the sprinklers are running.

But be certain to return and shut off water, disconnect hose, and return hoses to the ring. Lock ring.

1. Open the ring gate and gently drag out the orange and black connected hoses. The orange hose will have an available end to connect to MHS spigot on the corner of the building. Be gentle with the hoses and be aware NOT to kink. There is a spot on the orange hose close to the Y connector that was severely kinked and now needs some TLC.

2. Once connected to the spigot, the hoses will run under the closed ring gate.

3. Return to MHS 60-90 minutes later. Turn off the water. Disconnect the hose from spigot. Return hoses into the ring being careful NOT to kink.

4. Read the water gauges.

5. Go back to the CATS Watering Calendar and enter a note of how long you watered and the reading from the Water Gauge in the comment section for your day of watering.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!
